Day 1: Ho Chi Minh – Cai Be – Tan Phong Island (L,D)

Starting from Ho Chi Minh City at around 7:00, our Vietnam tour begins with a short drive towards the south, leaving the city behind and entering the rural landscapes of the Mekong Delta. As heading deeper into the Mekong Delta, you will reach Cai Be Town first.

Upon arrival in Cai Be boat wharf, you'll be transferred to a sampan to start a trip through many branches of Mekong Delta. We will visit to a Coconut Farm, and then listen to the "Tai Tu Music". Finally, you will visit Tan Phong Island by boat before checking in a Home-stay at Tan Phong Island.

Lunch will be served in home-stay in Tan Phong Island with a lot of delicious specialties and fresh fruits. Then you will have a short time to relax or walk around the surroundings at Mekong.

After lunch, you will cycle around Tan Phong Island for exploring the rural life of local people. Attending the cooking class in the late afternoon will bring you an interesting experience of cooking traditional Vietnamese dishes. Free for discovering the Island by yourselves. Overnight at home-stay in Tan Phong Island at the Delta.


Day 2: Tan Phong island – Vinh Long – Can Tho (B,L,D)

You will have chance to enjoy the daily life of local people by visiting Cai Be floating market early in the morning in the Mekong area. You will then have breakfast and starting this day with being straight to Mrs Ut Van’s house to learn how to make jack leaves cakes which is known as the specialty on this island. You will join hands to make cakes and enjoy them. You will be freely to lie down on the hammocks under the shades of 200-year old milk fruit tree to enjoy the atmosphere there. You will also have experience of going over the Monkey bridge which is popular in the Southwest of Vietnam. Surely, you will have unforgettable memories here.

Say goodbye to Mrs Ut Van you will keep going to Mrs Thao’s house to learn how to knit water hyacinth .You can use water hyacinth to knit a beautiful hat by yourself with the guidance of Mrs Thao.

Finally, you will cycle to Mr Hai's house, he is one of the most talented gardeners on Tan Phong Island. You will have a chance to learn how to do gardening such as making the land become softer, watering the trees, feeding fish and picking the fruit as well. You will enjoy the fresh fruit which is picked by yourself, enjoy green tea and talk to Mr Hai to know more about the lifestyle of the people on the island. You can have a chance to listen to the traditional song which is sung by Mr Hai- the famous singer in Mekong.

Leaving Mr Hai’s house, you will cycle to Cai Be market to see some activities of exchanging products and know more about their livelihood. After that you will be straight to Cao Dai temple to discover the new religion in Vietnam.

After that, you will be back to Tan Phong Island for checking out home-stay then embark into a sampan to reach the Mekong Boat for cruising to Can Tho. Enjoy your lunch with local dishes on boat while floating on the river and behold the immense scenery as well as the daily life of this area.

In the afternoon, you will join on-land activities such as walking around local villages, visiting fruit orchards or rice fields, meeting friendly locals and tasting the local produce and fruits.

Saying goodbye to the peaceful villages and friendly people, you will get back on board and enjoy a drink at the bar or relax on deck. From there, you can catch the moment when the sun is setting over the magnificent water of the Mekong River. Don’t miss this chance to take some nice shots as an unforgettable memory in your life. The boat will anchor at night and you will have an interesting experience with the moon, wind and a delicious on-board dinner. You stay overnight on board - in the Mekong Delta.


Day 3: Can Tho - Ho Chi Minh city (B,L)

The sound of the river and purchasing activities will wake you up early. You will enjoy your breakfast on boat, observing the locals’ daily work – buying and selling products on boat and beholding the scenery of slow sunrise over  the water.

After breakfast, you continue to explore the waterways with a morning boat ride through the bustling floating Cai Rang market where vendors line up their boat to sell their goods. The hustling activities as well as hundreds kinds of fruits will make you excited and enjoyable. Also, you can join these activities by buying some kinds of fruits and talking with the vendors or take photos to keep a unique cultural feature of Southern Vietnam.

After that, you will visit some of the local confectionery factories and buy something as a delicious gift for your families and friends. Or if you like, you can spend your time boating on green water to see local houses, verdant orchards and local shipyards.

In the late morning, you will taste your brunch or lunch then will be transferred to your hotel in Saigon, finish an interesting tour in Southern Vietnam.
